Niagara Wedding Love Story: Katherine & JF
To some people, the idea of their perfect wedding never crossed their mind. When I first met with Katherine, she literally told me she had never thought of her wedding day and didn’t have a clue on where to start. As I asked questions to try and find out her and JF’s style, likes and dislikes and expectations, it was clear she wasn’t wrong. Nevertheless, we had a great meeting that, I think, she left more excited than she expected.
As we continued through the planning process, the focus was always on not being over the top, the priority being the two of them being together and celebrating. Every element we planned together really drew on that and the outcome was something so romantic and beautiful.
Katherine & JF decided to break traditions. With JF and his family coming from Quebec, they needed a French speaking officiant that could translate everything for both English and French guests. So to do this, they signed their legal documents in the morning, in the comfort of Katherine’s family home. With the legalities out of the way, they were free and relaxed to get ready.
Ceremony and reception took place at Navy Hall on a warm August afternoon. Boutique Linen Rentals brought the dark room to life with whites, greens and golds. Country Basket Flower Boutique complimented the decor with pops of greenery on the backdrop and on the tables. Two long harvest tables ran down the middle of the room for guests.
Following the outdoor ceremony, Your Farm Gate served delicious appetizers during cocktail, leading up to an amazing dinner, I believe guests are still talking about. Dessert was a beautiful cake by the talented Cake By Cheryl. Simple and elegant, the two tiered beauty matched the style perfectly.
Sound of Harmony got the party started after dinner and the dance floor was never empty. The outstanding team at G3 Designs captured the day in their unique style that was perfect for Katherine & JF.
