Niagara Wedding Love Story: Jill & Nick

When I first met Jill and Nick, we instantly clicked. I liked them immediately. It felt like I knew them my whole life. We talked, over coffee, about what they were planning and they shared all sorts of fun details that I instantly knew was going to make for an awesome day.

When their day finally came, it was exactly how I expected. Filled with family and friends, laughter and excitement, relaxed but beautiful. Located on Nick’s family property right on the lake, the view was breathtaking.

The ladies got ready in an AirBnB up the street. Honor Beauty was on site enhancing each girl’s natural beauty. Things were kept natural and beachy to fit with the day.

Jill & Nick enjoyed a special first look up the beach, away from everyone before the ceremony took place. A quiet moment before everyone showed up was shared.

The ceremony took place on the beach. Despite the high winds that forced the floral team to not put up the ceremony arch, the backdrop spoke for itself. The ceremony was lead by The Wedding Company of Niagara. Surrounded by friends and family, Jill and Nick shared their vows and first kiss.

The rest of the wedding was more relaxed than most weddings I have coordinated Flowers in brillant colours from My Motif added to the tent decor. Guests were allowed to pick their own seat seeing as food was being served from the food truck by The Smokin’ Buddha. Guests enjoyed multiple options of individual portioned entrees. Jill and Nick enjoyed mingling with the crowd rather than feeling they had to sit in one place for hours.

Things really got started when the band, Switchbeat, began to play. Boy did the dance floor fill up and the party got started. Music from all eras filled the night and people were laughing, dancing and singing along.

The Smokin’ Buddha raised the bar when they set up their ice cream station. Rolling ice cream and topped with a variety of toppings, guests were lined up between dances to enjoy the tasty treat.

The entire day was captured by the amazingly talented Muir Image Photography. I couldn’t have suggested a better photographer for the day. Megan’s spirit and eye was a perfect match for Jill & Nick.
