YAY! You're engaged and are overwhelmed with emotions, excitement and are ready to start planning. Everyone is asking when the big day will be, who is in the wedding party, what your colours are, where you are having it, so on and so forth. But before you start diving into wedding planning, you and your fiancé need to sit down and have a real talk to make sure you are both on the same page.

It can be a whirlwind after you get engaged. You and your fiancé are full of excitement, love and questions. And then it can get overwhelming. Everyone starts asking questions you might not have answers to, you might not know what to do next (or at all) and happy emotions can take a turn as stress builds (I promise I'm not trying to scare you, I have some help).

Guest experience is something every bride and groom should consider for their wedding. We've all been to that wedding where you have 4 hours to kill between the ceremony and reception. It drags, we don't know what to do or where to go, and by the time you get to the reception you are ready for a nap.

I think I write about this at least once a year, but I feel really strongly about it. For the obvious reasons but also because it's so important when you are not an event planner by trade. There is so much a wedding planner can do for you, besides just setting up your wedding.

There is so much going on the week of your wedding that it is easy to forget some pretty important things for the actual morning of your big day.
