Victoria & Dave
Niagara Wedding Love Story: Victoria & Dave
When I first met with Victoria & Dave, their love for each other radiated off of each other. With their bubbly and energetic personalities, it was hard not to fall in love with them right away. We sat, that first meeting, going over their planning struggles and goals, details Victoria had prepared with, and I was immediately knew this was going to be one of those weddings that stood out. Victoria had planned the perfect guest experience and had not missed a detail. Now I will say, their planning process was not smooth sailing, but they handled their obstacles with grace and optimism that would have stressed others out beyond control.
Victoria started her morning getting ready with her girls at Pillar & Post, while Dave was not too far in an Air BnB with his guys. Be You Beauty Group had the ladies looking stunning. Victoria’s dress was the perfect fit for her from Grace Loves Lace, and literally had everyone’s jaw on the ground when she showed it off for the first time.
The day was captured by the amazing due of Julian & Kelly Moniz and video was captured by Love Stories. Not a moment was missed, including when the Maid of Honor and Victoria’s sister surprised her with a wrap for her bouquet that held special rings and fabric from passed members of their family.
Victoria and Dave shared their first look outside at Pillar & Post and it was in that moment I saw their love and respect for each other. It was so real and pure and moving.
Dynasty Limo shuttled guests from Pillar & Post to Chateau Des Charmes for the wedding.
Simply Beautiful Decor worked their magic setting up Chateau Des Charmes for the ceremony and reception. gold details and a neutral colour palette complimented the views of vineyards. Stok Floral took the decor to the next level adding their lovely ceremony arbour and pops of colour with their flowers. Not a detail was missed, from the welcome sign to the centerpieces, to the place settings with guests names cut out from wood to the sweetheart table and backdrop Dave built. (I know right?! So amazing).
Paul Fletcher from Cathy Davis & Company fit in perfectly. With Dave being a police officer, Paul was happy to sport his chaplain uniform. As always, he spread laughter and tears were shed in the most beautiful and personal ceremony.
Now I will pause here and say that cocktail hour did not go quite as planned. During the receiving line and mishap with a glass of red wine and the brides gown took place. All I remember was chatting with a guest and hearing my name called in panic by Victoria. When I looked at her, I immediately jumped into action. We got her fixed up by getting the wine out the best we could in the moment, given the delicacy of the lace and the size of the spill. Tears were shed, the receiving line was cut short and a moment of stress was calmed down. With the bride back in her dress (a little wetter than before), Victoria and Dave returned to spend the rest of the night, dancing and laughing and spreading their love throughout the night.
DJ Hurrishane kept the party going well into the night, providing the perfect end to a day that celebrated a love so pure. It was magical.
