It’s engagement season and while many are planning for a summer wedding, winter weddings are becoming more popular. There is a special magic with a winter wedding and some pretty amazing ways to pull some inspiration.
- Mix Textures- think (faux) furs, wool, etc. These can be used as part of your accessories (think fur muff to keep your hands toasty) or as blankets for guests. Or better yet, favours are scarves and mittens. The options are endless really.
- Colour Palette- Winter palettes tend to lean either to rich warm jewel tones or pale blue, whites and silvers. But you can mix this up and really do anything just like any other time of year.
- Menu- Change things up and serve mulled wine or hot totties during cocktail hour. Think hearty menu options, lamb, roasts and potatoes. Things that you would associate with a warm winter dinner. Have a hot chocolate bar instead of a sweets table.
Get creative! There are so many fun things you can do with a winter wedding. Seriously just search Pinterest.
