In the spirit of Grape & Wine (or the Niagara Wine Festival as it’s now known) this weekend, I started to think of how this could inspire a wedding. (You can check out the Pinterest board I created.)
I mean wine is already used in so many different ways at weddings and it can really have a fall feel to it. Here are a few ways to consider adding a touch of grape & wine to your wedding.
Colour palette: This comes back to using the 2015 Pantone Colour of the Year- Marsala (check out the post I did a while back on this.) But using the richer reds, purples and champagne colours can really pull in the warmth of wine.
Wine Barrels and Bottles: These can be used as anything from centre pieces to ceremony backdrops, to favours and so much more. Bottles can be painted, filled, used as candle holders, table numbers, aisle markers and pretty much everything in between. Get creative.
Corks: Again the options are endless here. You can fill vases, uses as escort card holders, favours, they can be glued together to make a bigger piece, etc.
Grape vines: While not the most practical, the image of one can be used on stationary or any signs you might use.
Hope these few suggestions spark some ideas for you.
